The Russian Armed Forces destroyed an AFU deployment point in Mykolayiv region with Iskander

The Russian military has destroyed a temporary deployment point of Ukrainian militants in Mykolayiv Region with a strike of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, December 1.

"By a high-precision preemptive strike the point of temporary dislocation of neo-Nazis was timely destroyed," the statement said.

As specified in the agency, the site of the strike - in the vicinity of the village of Rivne and 15 km north of Ochakov - was the area of concentration of the separate center of special operations forces "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

On the previous day, it was reported that tankers of the Southern Group of Russian troops hit an AFU drone control point near the Chasov Yar settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The drone operators, who provided the coordinates, were in control of eliminating the targets and adjusting the fire.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
