A woman was injured in the fall of an elevator in Sevastopol


A resident of Sevastopol was injured as a result of the fall of an elevator in an apartment building. This was reported on Sunday, December 1, by the Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the city and the Republic of Crimea.
"In the apartment building on the Laboratory highway there was a fall of the elevator cabin, as a result of which the 34-year-old passenger received various bodily injuries and was hospitalized, there is no threat to her life", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.
A criminal case has been opened on the performance of work and provision of services that do not meet safety requirements (Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Investigators inspected the scene, interviewed residents and representatives of the management company, as well as appointed expert examinations. In addition, within the framework of the case they will study reports in social networks about long interruptions in the work of the elevator, complaints of citizens and inaction of authorized services.
Earlier, on September 30, an elevator with 11 passengers got stuck in one of the hospitals in Moscow. The emergency stop occurred due to excessive load capacity. The technical service let people out 24 minutes after the incident.
