Sambo tournament "Kletskov Brothers Cup" was held in Moscow


The All-Russian youth sambo tournament "Kletskov Brothers Cup" ended on December 1 in Moscow.
The competition was held since November 29 in the Sambo-70 sports complex. Almost 1 thousand athletes from different regions of Russia and neighboring countries took part in them. They included sambists from sports schools and cadet schools. Sambo wrestlers Nikita and Dmitry Kletskov also attended the tournament, which was named in their honor.
"Sambo is our national sport, our patrimony, which helps not only in everyday life, but also in combat conditions," said Nikita Kletskov.
The participants of the competition were personally greeted by Deputy Director of the Rosgvardia, Colonel General Alexei Vorobyov, who presented the athletes with awards. He said that in the department sambo is one of the most popular sports.
"Patriotic education. Look at the boys fighting on the mat - they are future servicemen, police officers, Rosgvardia," Vorobyov said.
In addition to medals, the winners received other prizes - the title of candidate master of sports and a ticket to the upcoming Russian Sambo Championship.
Nikita Kletskov is a four-time world sambo champion, seven-time champion of Russia, Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation. Dmitry Kletskov - winner of the Sambo World Cup, winner and medalist of European and Russian championships, Master of Sports International Class.
Earlier, on November 14, an updated sports complex for sambo classes, which is part of the Sambo-70 center, was opened in Moscow. The sports facility is located in the Yasenevo district. In addition to sambo, judo, karate, boxing and gymnastics are practiced in the complex.
