Russian air defense forces destroyed 29 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions

Air defense means have destroyed and intercepted 29 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, December 1.

"On-duty air defense means intercepted and destroyed 29 Ukrainian drones," the statement said.

Of this number, 20 drones were eliminated over the territory of the Bryansk region, another seven - in the Kaluga region, the ministry specified. One UAV was also destroyed in the Smolensk and Kursk regions.

During the night, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported the elimination of ten and then eight more drones of Ukrainian militants over the region. According to his information, one of the attacks resulted in the death of a child in Starodubsky municipal district. In turn, the governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha told about the elimination of one drone.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
