The United States administration denies any involvement of Washington in the attack of formations of the terrorist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (banned in Russia) in Syria, follows from the statement of the White House National Security Council (NSC) spokesman Sean Savett.

It said the country has been closely monitoring developments in Syria over the past 48 hours. Savett says the refusal of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government to "engage in a political process" has created the current situation.

"The United States, along with its partners and allies, calls for de-escalation, the protection of civilians and minorities, and a serious and credible political process that can end this civil war once and for all," the statement said.

Earlier in the day, former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl said the West was subverting Syria and Ukraine by supplying weapons and mercenaries. She said the equipment, uniforms, drones and training of terrorists in Syria are internationally supported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi called the terrorists' activation in Syria part of the US plan amid Israel's defeat in Lebanon. The Islamic Republic's Foreign Minister also emphasized that Iran's support for the Syrian government, people and army in the fight against terrorism and the protection of regional security and stability remains unchanged.

At the same time, the Syrian army eliminated hundreds of terrorists in Aleppo and Idlib. It is reported that the Syrian army continues its offensive against all points where militants have entrenched themselves. In addition, the army managed to dislodge radical Islamists from part of the positions. The combat work of the Syrian soldiers continues.

On the eve, November 28, the Syrian Ministry reported that terrorist groups made a major attack in Aleppo and Idlib, and the Syrian Army began to repel it, causing serious damage to equipment and manpower of militants.
