Military servicemen told about the storming of Novoalekseevka settlement in the DNR

The servicemen of the Center group of troops who took part in the liberation of the settlement of Novoalexeevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) have described the course of the assault. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 1.

According to the Russian servicemen, they entered the village in small groups, moving from shelter to shelter and using camouflaged dugouts in forest belts.

The servicemen, supported by an armored group, swiftly entered the forest belts and hit the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the fortifications. Correcting the actions of the attacking aircraft were performed by drone calculations in cooperation with artillery calculations and other units.

"We flew in normally, they kind of slept through us <...> came in, cleared the first street, consolidated, then small groups of boys were sent to storm. When we had already pulled back the AFU men, we went and raised the flag," said the group commander Gleb.

As stated in the defense Ministry, in the captured basement, where the Ukrainian military were housed, were found flags with Nazi symbols and flags of foreign countries.

"They covered themselves with civilians, if the locals lived in the houses, the AFU fighters lived in these basements of these same houses, difficult, but we knocked them out," said the battalion commander, senior lieutenant Yegor Bas.

"A stormtrooper is the only person who has seen the enemy in person!"

The Russian Defense Ministry reported theliberation of Novoalekseevka by the fighters of the Center troops' unit on November 18. The enemy lost more than 500 servicemen in the battles, the ministry added in its summary.

Later, the Defense Ministry published footage of the Russian Armed Forces' combat work during the liberation of Novoalekseevka. The footage shows that servicemen, supported by an armored group, swiftly entered the forest belt and destroyed the enemy in the fortifications.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
