The Social Fund urged to keep old-style SNILS

Certificates of compulsory pension insurance with the insurance number of the individual personal account (SNILS) should not be changed, as they are valid. RIA Novosti reported on December 1.

"All issued insurance certificates are valid. It is not necessary to apply to the Social Fund of Russia to replace the document," - reports the interlocutor of the agency.

The organization said that from the amendments to the law on personalized accounting it follows that information about SNILS is given in the form of electronic or paper notification.

The Social Fund said that the notification contains all the information that is reflected in the insurance certificate, including the surname, first name and patronymic of the person, date and place of birth, as well as SNILS.

Earlier, on November 18, on the portal "Gosuservices" launched a new service "life situation" for the restoration and replacement of documents. It is noted that the new service will allow to find out the numbers of lost documents, such as SNILS and TIN, as well as MHI policy, passport, driver's license, pension documents, education documents and passport of a citizen of Russia, if it is lost, stolen or damaged.

On October 16, Sergei Hovsepyan, head of the security department of SberNPF , told Izvestia that fraudsters have again started to actively use the scheme of deception with calls purportedly from representatives of the Russian Pension Fund (PFR) to gain access to personal accounts of "Gosuslugi" for Russians.
