- An expert pointed out the difficulty of abolishing the USE and USE for schoolchildren

The abolition of the USE and USE for those entering college is a difficult idea to implement. This was stated on December 1 by Marina Stepanova, an expert on effective strategies for entering a university, author of the course "Strategy for entering a university: from A to Z".
She said that any educational stage ends with certification, it is enshrined in Article 59 of the Federal Law 273 "On Education in the Russian Federation". The expert noted that when entering college, the results of the USE and USE are not taken into account, these exams are needed to obtain a certificate.
"Therefore, the proposal requires a change in legislation. And this is not a quick process. So I would not expect it in the near future. As for the conduct of exams, they are unequivocally needed. In what form they will be held - it's another question," Stepanova said in a conversation with "Gazeta.Ru".
She said that the idea to leave only two mandatory exams after the ninth grade - Russian language and math, and the rest of the subjects of choice to be passed by future tenth graders, would be a good idea.
The expert said that there should be no questions about the abolition of the USE, as "it is the best thing that could have been invented recently."
Stepanova noted the main problem with this exam: the difficulties are related to the content of the USE, not to the format of the examination. This type of certification presupposes serious knowledge and skills for all years of education. She noted that it is difficult for teenagers with their clip thinking to prepare.
"It takes a lot of effort not to pass the OGE with a C. I believe that the USE is a kind of rehearsal for the USE and one of the ways to understand how the subject is given," the expert said about the exam in the ninth grade.
She also said that if the exam seems difficult in this class, then in the eleventh grade "it will be three times more difficult".
Earlier, on November 27, an IT expert pointed out the relevance of cybersecurity specialties. According to the co-founder of the online programming school "Hexlet" Kirill Mokevnin, despite the fact that the labor market situation in IT is constantly changing, the demand for personnel is always dictated by the market and its needs.
November 20 in Rosobrnadzor reported that the abolition of the main state examination (OGE) may negatively affect the motivation of schoolchildren in the study of subjects. It is noted that this exam is the final stage of mastering the programs of basic general education. Rosobrnadzor is ready to consider the need to pass the USE for schoolchildren planning to enter college after the ninth grade, as well as to improve the procedure itself.
Earlier, on November 16, Central University together with the participants of the Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence - T-Bank, Sber and VK - launched a free program to prepare high school students for participation in the international Olympiad on artificial intelligence, which will be held in August 2025 in China. This was announced by representatives of the Central University at the awarding ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian AI Olympiad.
