Rock singer Garik Sukachev celebrates his 65th birthday on December 1, Izvestia reported on the bright creative path of the Russian rock legend.

Sukachev's music differs from the work of other rock pioneers of the late 1980s in that it is at the intersection of several genres, such as folk, jazz and cabaret.

"Old New Year's Eve, 1986, January 14. That's it, I woke up, we woke up famous. That's it! Everything! Instantly happened, but I did not doubt it at all," recalls the musician about the beginning of his popularity.

The leader of the groups "Manual Sunset", "Postscriptum", "Brigada C" and "Neprikasaemye" is not only a talented musician, but also a director, actor and screenwriter. Behind his shoulders half a dozen movie works, including "Holiday" and "House of the Sun".

Sukachev also demonstrated his acting and directing skills in the drama "Sashashishin," and his play "Anarchy" was very popular in Moscow.

"I've said a thousand times: I'm a cat, I have nine lives, you know? That's all. I've been different. And I like it, I have something to remember," he concluded.

Earlier, on November 29, the first single from the tribute album "Lube. 35. Everything starts again..." was the song "Taganskaya Station" performed by rock musician Garik Sukachev. The musician shared that he perfectly remembers the first songs of Lyube and has known the lead singer Nikolay Rastorguev for more than 40 years - they met before the band was founded.
