The governor reported a destroyed UAV in the Kaluga region

Air defense forces have eliminated an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the sky above Kaluga region, Governor Vladislav Shapsha said on December 1.

As the head of the region noted in his Telegram channel, the downed drone caused a fire on a non-residential plot in one of the settlements of the region.

According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Operational services are working at the scene.

Shortly before that, Governor Alexander Bogomaz said that the air defense forces had detected and destroyed 10 unmanned aerial vehicles of airplane type over the Bryansk region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
