"In addition to the election of the President at the report-elective Congress of the International Fencing Federation, in Tashkent there were also held the votes that determined the composition of the Executive Committee, committees and commissions of the FIE. According to their results four more Russians will work in the composition of various commissions", - the representatives of the organization informed.
It is stated that Ekaterina Kondratyeva will work in the legal commission, Anastasia Maksimova - in the medical one. Vladislav Shamis was included in the judicial commission, and Maria Sinyavskaya - in the rules commission.
Earlier, on November 27, the All-Russian Canoe Sprint Federation (VFGBC) nominated Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev for the post of President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).
On November 11, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharovacalled the lies of German journalist Hans-Joachim Seppelt indicative of the West's understanding of "honest" sports. This is how she commented on the journalist's admission that his statements about the International Fencing Federation, that this structure allegedly has a "system of bribing judges", were unreliable.
