A resident of St. Petersburg attempted to set fire to an electric substation in Kolpino district. About it on December 1 reported the TV channel "78".

"At night, a suspicious man, tried to set fire to an electrical substation. Everything was happening in the settlement of Petro-Slavianka. The offender tried to escape, but was soon detained," informed "78" in its Telegram-channel.

On the fact of attempted arson of the infrastructure facility, a criminal case under the article on terrorism (Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was initiated. Law enforcers are working at the scene.

Earlier, on November 12, in St. Petersburg detained a local resident who wanted to set fire to aviation equipment. The man appealed to the special services of Ukraine and offered for a monetary reward to commit sabotage at the objects of the military-industrial complex of Russia (military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation). He also tried to involve two local residents in arson. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the man and he faces up to 23 years in prison.
