Syrian president says able to defeat terrorists with the help of allies

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that his country is able to defeat terrorists with the help of allies and friends. This is reported in the Telegram-channel of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic.

It is specified that the Syrian leader and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone conversation during which they discussed the latest developments in Syria and a number of regional affairs.

"President Assad emphasized during the phone call that Syria continues to defend its stability and territorial integrity against all terrorists and their supporters and is capable of defeating and destroying them, no matter how serious their terrorist attacks are, with the help of its allies and friends," the statement said.

Meanwhile, the UAE president emphasized during the conversation that he supports the Syrian state in the fight against terrorism, as well as in expanding its sovereignty, maintaining its territorial integrity and stability.

According to the TV channel, the militants captured more than 20 settlements to the north and west of the city of Aleppo during the attack.
