The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shelled the satellite town of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (ZNPP) Enerhodar. This was reported on November 30 by Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Russian Public Chamber's commission on sovereignty issues and co-chairman of the coordination council for the integration of new regions.

"They are hitting the main town of Zaporizhzhya energy workers from barrel artillery," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Rogov specified that in the city sounded at least five arrivals.

Earlier in the day, the high-voltage power supply line "Ferrosplavnaya-1" was shut down at Zaporozhye plant by the action of protection. Representatives of the plant also reminded that all its units are still in the state of "cold shutdown".

Before that, on November 27, the satellite town of Zaporizhzhya NPP Energodar was left without power supply due to an emergency shutdown of power lines. On the same day, the AFU carried out six drone attacks and two artillery strikes on the territory of Energodar and the station.

Zaporizhzhya region, where the nuclear power plant is located, became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022. Since then, Zaporizhzhya NPP has been under constant IAEA control.
