The Russian embassy in Syria is operating normally despite the situation in the country. This was reported to Izvestia on November 30 by the Russian diplomatic mission.

They noted that the embassy is in touch with the Russians. If they are affected by the situation in the region, "appropriate measures will be taken."

The diplomatic mission also added that the security of the building has been strengthened.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held telephone talks with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, during which he discussed the current situation in Syria. In the conversation, the sides confirmed the need to coordinate joint actions to stabilize the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR).

On November 28, the Syrian Defense Ministry reported that terrorist groups launched a major attack in Aleppo and Idlib, and the Syrian Army responded by inflicting serious damage to the militants' equipment and manpower. The Center for the Reconciliation of Enemy Parties (CRAP) reported at the time that the Syrian military, backed by the Russian Air and Space Forces (VKS), had killed at least 400 radical Islamists.

The next day, November 29, the Syrian army eliminated hundreds of terrorists in Aleppo and Idlib and continued the offensive against all points where the militants had entrenched themselves. The CPVS specified that no less than 200 terrorists were destroyed by the Russian Armed Forces during the day.
