Russia and China conducted air patrols in the Asia-Pacific region

On November 30, Tu-95MS missile carriers of the Russian Air and Space Forces and Hong-6K strategic bombers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLA Air Force) conducted joint patrols in the Asia-Pacific region.
The patrol was carried out over the waters of the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea, and over the western Pacific Ocean. The flight lasted about eight hours.
Russian Su-30SM and MiG-3 aircraft, as well as Chinese Jian-16 aircraft, provided fighter air cover along the entire route. At certain stages, the crews were escorted by fighter jets of foreign countries.
At night, the crews of Tu-95MS performed refueling in the airspace. In addition, during the patrol, Russian crews landed and took off from a Chinese airfield.
The aircraft of the Russian and Chinese PLA Air Forces acted strictly in accordance with the provisions of international law, and no violations were permitted. After the patrol, the crews returned to their home airfields.
The event was conducted as part of the implementation of the military cooperation plan for 2024 and is not directed against third countries.
Earlier, on October 16, crews of warships of the Russian Navy and the Chinese Navy conducted a rescue training on a body of water in the East China Sea. As part of the Russian-Chinese patrols in the Asia-Pacific region, the joint detachment of the Russian Navy's warships included large anti-submarine ships Admiral Panteleyev and Admiral Tributs of the Pacific Fleet.
Before that, on October 14, the warships of Russia and China conducted firing exercises in the Pacific Ocean. It is noted that the ships searched for a submarine of the conditional enemy, practiced the tasks of its pursuit and destruction, using RBU-6000 rocket-bomb launchers.
