The director of a travel agency who organized LGBT tours (the movement is recognized as an extremist organization and is banned in Russia) was detained in Moscow.

As Izvestia found out, the detainee created a "tourist club for men" in March 2024. For eight months several tours were organized.

A case has been opened against the man under the article "Organization of the activities of an extremist organization". During the search, a collection of sex toys was seized from him.

Earlier in the day it was reported that law enforcement agencies conducted raids on the clubs Mono, Arma (former "Mutabor") and Inferno inMoscow. The event to detect illegal activities in the club on Skladochnaya Street was conducted by officers of the Moscow police and the FSSB. According to operational information, the institution was propagandizing LGBT ideology.

In early December 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning LGBT propaganda, pedophilia and sex change in Russia. According to the law, administrative liability will be incurred for committing such acts against persons of any age, not only against minors, as it was envisioned before its adoption.
