At ZNPP the protection shut down the high-voltage supply line "Ferrosplavnaya-1"

The high-voltage power supply line "Ferrosplavnaya-1" at Zaporizhzhya NPP has been disconnected by protection action. About it on Saturday, November 30, reported in the Telegram-channel of the station.

"At Zaporizhzhya NPP the high-voltage power supply line 330 kV "Ferrosplavnaya-1" is switched off by protection action. Own needs of NPP are powered from the line 750 kV "Dneprovskaya", - stated in the message.

It is specified that the personnel has not recorded violations of safety limits and conditions and is ready to respond. Radiation background at the plant and around it is at a normal level and does not exceed natural values.

All ZNPP units are still in the state of "cold shutdown", the plant representatives reminded. According to their information, the equipment is maintained according to regulations and under strict radiation safety control.

Earlier, on November 27, Energodar, a satellite town of Zaporizhzhya ZNPP, was left without power supply due to an emergency disconnection of power lines. On the same day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) carried out six drone attacks and two artillery strikes on the territory of Energodar and the plant.

Zaporizhzhya region, where the nuclear power plant is located, became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum in September 2022. Since that time, Zaporizhzhya NPP has been under constant IAEA control.
