The United States is using all possibilities to prevent Russia from accomplishing the tasks of the special military operation (SMO), but they will not succeed. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said this in an interview with TASS on November 30.

"The impression is that the decision-makers in the White House are not taught anything by life and they use all the opportunities that remain even for "lame ducks" in order to harm us and prevent us from solving the tasks of the Special Military Operation (SMO). But they will not succeed," Ryabkov commented on Joe Biden 's request for $24 billion for Ukraine from Congress.

According to the deputy minister, it is necessary to understand what funds the US president has requested and for what purposes. Ryabkov also noted that this causes non-acceptance on the part of Russia.

Earlier in the day, on November 28, Reuters reported that the administration of incumbent President Biden was developing a new $725 million aid package for Ukraine. According to an official familiar with the plan, the head of state's administration plans to provide various anti-tank weapons from the US stockpile. The package may include landmines, drones, Stinger missiles, ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS).

At the time, the WSJ also reported on Biden's failure to spend all the funds allocated to Kiev. According to US and congressional officials, the Biden administration did not have enough time to use the billions of dollars allocated by lawmakers to arm Ukraine, leaving President-elect Donald Trump to decide what to do with the remaining money.

Before that, on November 27, it became known that Joe Biden asked Congress to allocate $24 billion to Ukraine to strengthen its military capabilities and replenish America's dwindling reserves.

Western countries have strengthened military and financial support for Ukraine against the background of the special operation of the Russian Federation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to conduct it was made by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
