On November 30, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the combat work of mobile air defense units of the Guards Airborne Assault Regiment from the Dnepr troop grouping to cover units from air attack and reconnaissance assets on the left bank of the Kakhovka water reservoir in Zaporizhzhya Region.

After receiving the combat task to search for and eliminate the means of air attack and reconnaissance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the paratroopers- anti-aircraft gunners began their work.

During the duty they detected reconnaissance and strike drones of the airplane type and FPV drones of the AFU, which were approaching the forward positions of the Russian army by air.

After the aerial target was detected, foot crews and a mobile air defense unit on a UAZ Patriot vehicle with a 7.62-millimeter twin machine gun opened fire.

It is reported that on the left bank of the Kakhovka reservoir, mobile air defense units of Russian paratroopers destroy up to 10 FPV drones and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the AFU every day.

Earlier, on November 29, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed an attack drone of Grey Widow aircraft type of the AFU in Vasilievka, Zaporizhzhya region. The Defense Ministry called the Russian FPV drone operator's strike on the Ukrainian UAV a jeweled strike.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
