On November 30, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of volunteers of the Bars-Belgorod formation working at training ranges to reinforce roadblocks and protect socially important facilities in Belgorod Region.
Volunteer units guard various infrastructure facilities around the clock. Every few hours there is a change of personnel, who are sent to the point of permanent deployment, where they undergo a mandatory medical examination and rest.
At checkpoints, volunteers, cooperating with military police officers, inspect vehicles, patrol the surrounding area, and are also on duty.
"The conditions we have here are excellent, the living conditions are more than decent. Many thanks to the organizers. Everything is very well organized, everything is necessary, vital", - said the commander of the department with the call sign Shturman.
In addition, daily trainings are held with volunteers to repel drone attacks on an infrastructure facility and attempts to break through a roadblock by a sabotage and reconnaissance group, followed by training in neutralizing conditional militants and their detention.
Earlier, on November 16, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of intensive combat training of the Bars-Belgorod volunteer unit at the training ground.
On September 12, Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov announced the beginning of the formation of the Bars unit in Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine. He specified that the units together with law enforcement agencies under the conditions of counter-terrorist operation regime (CTO) will be engaged in protection and defense of civil infrastructure facilities, fighting against drones and maintaining public order.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
