- Reuters reported that an explosion damaged a water main between power plants in Kosovo

In the north of Kosovo, an explosion damaged a canal supplying water to two coal-fired power plants that generate almost all of the country's electricity. This was reported by Reuters on November 29.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti blamed Serbia for the explosion, calling the incident an act of terrorism.
"This is a criminal and terrorist attack to destroy our critical infrastructure," Kurti said.
The head of the republic's government also said that parts of the country could be left without electricity if the problem is not solved. The explosion also affected the supply of drinking water.
No information on casualties was reported.
Earlier, on September 25, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, wondered whether the head of the EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, was guided by the same logic with regard to the conflict in Ukraine and the situation with Serbia and Kosovo.
At the same time, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that the escalation of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija with the continued violent pressure of the Kosovo Albanian authorities in Pristina on local Serbs could happen at any moment. According to him, Belgrade does not intend to ignore what is happening and is encouraged by the support from the BRICS representatives.
A new round of aggravation of the conflict between Serbia and Kosovo began on May 26 last year, when law enforcement agencies surrounded administrative buildings in the settlements of Zubin Potok, Zvecan and Leposavic in order to seize them under the pretext of assisting elected mayors. Serbs came out to defend the buildings, resulting in over 50 casualties.
In 2008, Kosovo Albanian structures in Pristina declared independence from Serbia. According to the Serbian constitution, the territory of the unrecognized state is the autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija within the country. The Republic of Kosovo is not recognized by dozens of countries, including Russia.
