Armenia's position on participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) remains the same despite Yerevan's refusal to participate in the Astana summit held on November 28, the republic's parliament told Izvestia.

"The Armenian side has frozen its participation in the CSTO, and our position on this issue remains unchanged," said Movses Harutyunyan, spokesman for the Armenian parliament speaker.

Although Armenia was not present in the Kazakh capital, representatives of the Transcaucasian republic said in advance that they have nothing against the adoption of 14 agreed documents at the Astana summit. Among them is the decision "On further strengthening of allied relations within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization".
