Expert named the most corrosion-prone part of the body of used Chinese cars

Ungalvanized and untreated body parts, as a rule, earlier and more often than others are subject to rust, said an expert of automotive marketplace Fresh Alexander Gubanov on November 29.
As the speaker noted, among Chinese cars, the fastest rust begins to cover the roof, in the production of which may be used metal of poor quality, as this part of the body is problematic to scratch and damage in the event of a collision.
"In practice, we get a vulnerable zone at the junction of the roof and the windshield, it is constantly exposed to the impact of small stones flying from the road," - commented the expert in conversation with "Gazeta.Ru".
However, Gubanov emphasized that this problem does not affect all cars manufactured in the People's Republic of China (PRC), but when buying a car with mileage, the expert recommended first to pay attention to the chips on the roof.
One of the markers of metal corrosion, which should alert the buyer, is a fresh layer of paintwork on the roof of the car. If the front of this part of the body is covered with a clear film, the previous owner probably took preventative measures to keep the chips from oxidizing.
"Most Chinese cars also have far from perfect factory antikor: a budget Volkswagen is even better protected than a car from the PRC that claims to be at the premium level. On many cars from the Celestial Empire the underbody is painted only with paint or only the most corrosion-prone areas are treated", - emphasized the interlocutor.
In March, Ilya Ivansky, the head of the service direction of Fresh car marketplace, said that due to irregular or improper washing of the car and constant use in a humid climate, the car body is more susceptible to corrosion. The expert also noted that Chery Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 4, as well as Haval Jolion and Geely Atlas are the least prone to corrosion among new Chinese cars on the Russian car market.
