Two people killed in a road accident in the Sverdlovsk region

In the Sverdlovsk region, two people were killed and one injured as a result of a collision between a passenger car and a cargo vehicle (TC). This was reported by the press service of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the region in its Telegram-channel on November 29.

The incident occurred on November 29 at 17:00 (15:00 Moscow time) at the 9th kilometer of the highway "Southern Approach" near Nizhny Tagil.

The 49-year-old driver of a Hyundai Solaris drove into the oncoming lane, allowing a collision with a Fiat Ducato van. After the collision, the passenger car was thrown into the ditch.

The 46-year-old driver of the minibus and the 75-year-old passenger of the Hyundai died of their injuries on the spot. It is noted that they did not use seat belts.

The driver of the car in serious condition was sent to a medical institution in Nizhny Tagil. It is specified that he has a driving record of 29 years and was previously prosecuted nine times for traffic violations.

At the moment on the fact of the accident is under investigation, on the basis of which a procedural decision will be made. The State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI) ruled out the presence of poor road conditions. The medical examination will determine the condition of the drivers at the time of the incident.

Earlier, on November 27, three people died when a car fell into the Northern Dvina River in the Arkhangelsk region. First, the body of a 20-year-old local resident was found, the girl was identified by relatives. Later, the fallen car rose to the surface of the river, in which the bodies of a 20-year-old local resident and the driver of the car were found.
