Experts spoke about changes in labor legislation from 2025

From the beginning of the new year, working Russians are expected five key changes in labor legislation. This is reported in the research "Avito Work", which was reviewed by "Izvestia" on December 1.

Thus, on January 1, 2025, the federal minimum wage (MROT) in Russia will rise from 19,242 rubles to 22,440 rubles. This change will affect salaries, vacation, travel and sick pay.

According to information from analysts, starting next year, the minimum wage for full-time workers should not be less than 22,440 rubles. It is important to note that this amount does not include "northern" allowances, regional coefficients, bonus payments, as well as payment for overtime on weekends and public holidays. In addition, accountants will need to revise the calculations of vacation pay, travel and sick leave, and for small and medium-sized businesses - the size of insurance premiums.

According to experts, from 2025 the indexation of insurance pensions will be carried out twice a year - on February 1 and April 1. In this case, in February, the entire pension will be increased, and in April - only its insurance part, without taking into account the fixed payment. These changes will affect all pensioners who receive an insurance pension - old age, disability or in connection with the loss of the breadwinner. Social pensions will be indexed once in April.

"From March 1, 2025, unused time off will be compensated with a cash payment upon dismissal. To take time off for work on a weekend or holiday or to add an additional day off to the nearest vacation can only be taken during the year," - experts noted.

From the beginning of next year, a five-level progressive scale of personal income tax (PIT) will come into force. Now the tax, which will apply to most sources of income, including wages, will vary from 13 to 22% depending on the amount of income.

"In 2025, tax deductions will increase - the income limit for the standard type from 350 thousand rubles will grow to 450 thousand rubles. There will also be a new deduction in the amount of 18 thousand rubles per year for those who underwent a medical examination and fulfilled the standards of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" (GTO) with distinction," - summed up the experts of the platform.

Earlier, on November 29, experts of the platform "Avito Work" told "Izvestia" what months are profitable for vacation in 2025. For vacation it is best to consider the months with the most working days, so in 2025 profitable for vacation will be April, July, September, October and December.
