When using pyrotechnics for New Year's Eve, it is important to keep safety and legal regulations in mind. Before launching, it is absolutely necessary to study the instructions of each product. Pyrotechnic devices have individual features that are prescribed by the manufacturer, including recommendations on the place of installation, weather conditions and safe distance. More about this on December 2 "Izvestia" told public figure, expert on housing and utilities Dmitry Bondar.

"The place for the launch should be flat and open, away from residential buildings, trees, power lines and other obstacles. The presence of even a slight wind can change the trajectory of the salute, so launching in windy weather is strongly discouraged. Place the device on the ground, fixing it in a stable position, and light the wick at arm's length. Leaning over the device is strictly prohibited to avoid injury from unexpected triggering," he explained.

According to him, it is important to observe the bans on launching pyrotechnics in closed spaces - on balconies, roofs, facades of buildings, in sports or cultural institutions, as well as near dangerous objects like oil pipelines, railroads and power lines. Violation of these rules is not only unsafe, but can also lead to administrative liability.

"Pay special attention to pyrotechnics that did not work. Never approach the device immediately - wait at least 10 minutes to make sure that the wick is completely extinguished. Do not attempt to re-ignite a pyrotechnic product," Bondar warned.

Local laws on silence should also be taken into account, the expert emphasized. In different regions, the time allowed for launching fireworks may differ. Clarify these norms to avoid fines and conflicts with neighbors.

"Buy pyrotechnics only from certified sellers. This ensures quality standards are met and reduces the likelihood of incidents. Low-quality devices can behave unpredictably, posing a threat to health and property," he concluded.

Earlier, on November 15, marketing expert and BCSA CEO Elizaveta Voloshanina told Izvestia that it is better to start buying gifts and necessary goods for the New Year in advance. This way you can refrain from impulsive purchases. In addition, she advised to make a list of goods in advance.
