The authorized speed limit will be reduced on the M-4 "Don" highway


From December 1, a winter speed limit will be introduced on the M-4 "Don" highway in the Rostov region. This was announced on November 29 by the press service of the state company "Avtodor" in its Telegram channel.
During the summer period on two sections of the M-4 "Don" highway (from 777 to 933 km and from 1091 to 1119 km) there was an increased speed limit for cars and trucks with a permitted maximum weight not exceeding 3.5 tons - 110 km/h. With the onset of the winter period, it will be canceled, and the maximum permitted speed on these sections will be reduced to 90 km/h.
The state company explained that this should help ensure road safety in difficult weather conditions and reduce the likelihood of accidents. The increased speed limit will be restored on April 13 next year.
Since October 28, the speed limit on the M-11 highway from Moscow to St. Petersburg has been reduced to 110 km/h, and on the section of the M-4 in the Tula region from 296th km to 322nd km (on the bypass of the city of Efremov) - to 90 km/h.
