The State Duma assessed Biden's words on Russia's strikes against the AFU

The statement by incumbent US President Joe Biden about Russia's strikes on the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and new supplies is agony. This is the opinion of the first deputy chairman of the State Duma's Foreign Affairs Committee, Aleksey Chepa, who reacted to the statement by the US leader on Friday, November 29.
The day before, Biden commented on Russia's retaliatory strikes on facilities in Ukraine, calling them outrageous, reports NSN. He noted that Washington will continue to provide military aid to Ukraine, adding that new arms deliveries are expected soon, 360.ru reported.
According to Chepa, the American leader is outraged that there was a retaliatory strike with new means, obviously their intelligence did not know about it and it was a complete surprise to them the capabilities of this new system and the fact that the air defense equipment sent to Ukraine is useless against the systems shown.
"I think Biden's statement is an agony that Biden's words are only words that will hardly be supported by real actions, and today both Europe understands it well, and Zelensky understands it well," the MP said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.
The MP reminded that the USA has already signed a memorandum on the transfer of power, so in the remaining weeks as head of state, Biden will find it increasingly difficult to pursue a policy of dragging Ukraine into a large spiral of escalation.
The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Astana that Russia had launched 100 missiles and 466 drones at targets in Ukraine over the past two days. Putin emphasized that all these strikes were responses to the US ballistic missile attacks by Kiev.
Earlier, on November 21, the Russian president said that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state, causing the regional conflict to acquire elements of a global conflict. He also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, the Oreshnik ballistic missile, had been tested under combat conditions.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
