Patrushev announced the development of measures to help the Ministry of Agriculture for 40 billion rubles

The Russian government is considering the issue of allocation of additional funds to the Ministry of Agriculture in 2025 for investment projects, the total amount will amount to 40 billion rubles. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev on November 29.

"Additional money will also be allocated for short-term soft loans for the regular sowing campaign. Cumulatively, the amount will amount to about 40 billion rubles. The funds will be promptly brought to the agrarians. Thus, we will continue to systematically increase production to meet the growing demand for Russian products," he said at the end of the discussion of the situation in the food market.

We are also working on the issue of additional allocation of funds for investment projects in dairy and meat cattle breeding in 2025. In addition, at the expense of investment loans will support vegetable growing, fruit and berry production.

According to the politician, currently the Russian market is fully provided with products. Despite very difficult weather conditions, domestic agrarians in 2024 were able to harvest a decent crop. The situation in livestock breeding and fishery complex is currently stable, the food and processing industry is also working dynamically.

Patrushev noted that state support for the agro-industry is growing as part of the implementation of the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the aggregate for the next year, the allocation of more than half a trillion rubles is provided for these purposes.

Earlier, on November 25, Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut said that the state program for the development of rural areas of the Russian Federation in 2025 may be financed by a record 115 billion rubles. According to her, since 2020, the volume amounted to almost 263 billion rubles, in 2023 funding reached 76.8 billion rubles.

Before that, on October 30, Putin held a meeting with members of the government on the development of rural areas. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture during the meeting said that the sustainable development of rural areas is one of the main directions of the doctrine of food security of Russia.

In turn, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also reported on September 19 that the Russian government will allocate more than 900 million rubles to help agricultural producers to compensate for the damage caused by frosts that occurred in May 2024.
