Dedicated to the digitalization of the sector of non-profit organizations, the conference "Technologies of Kindness" for NGOs and charitable structures opened in Technopark "Skolkovo". This was reported by the press service of the Foundation.

Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia Maksut Shadaev in his welcoming speech noted the importance of the event and the readiness of the agency to expand cooperation to support the charitable sector. He also said that the Ministry of Digital Development and Mass Communications is discussing the development of a section for charity on the Gosuslug portal. The creation of such a tab, in particular, will help the needy to receive support from foundations.

"The work of any charitable organization in the current time is impossible without a whole set of digital tools and services," the minister stressed. - Indeed, the IT industry is super socially responsible. We saw this in the pandemic, when many companies provided their educational services, video conferencing, security tools for free to the widest possible range of people. If there are additional needs, we are always ready to help."

Nikolai Zhuravlev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, also took part in the opening of the conference organized by the Skolkovo Foundation and Sovcombank. According to his assessment, the Technologies of Kindness project allows to unite state authorities, charitable organizations, big business, technological platforms and representatives of the regions on one platform. "This format allows to find and highlight the best practices and ultimately solves the main task of the project - to attract technology to support those who need it," he said.

According to Zhuravlev, Technologies of Kindness has a chance to become a unique platform where synergy between charitable organizations and the corporate sector, whose representatives share their mission, is possible. "This will allow NPOs to optimize their expenses, improve management decisions and ensure information security," the Council of the Federation Council member said.

The conference will include a plenary discussion, master classes and an interactive session for participants. In addition, the program of the event provides for a donor-talk, during which granting organizations, corporations, foundations and fundraising experts will tell the "secrets" of finding and attracting resources for the technologicalization of NPOs, the introduction of IT-services, as well as reveal the specifics of receiving support and answer questions of concern.
