The Alternative for Germany party said it plans to secure Germany's exit from the EU

The German right-wing party "Alternative for Germany" (AdG) advocated the country's exit from the European Union (EU) in its election program. This is reported by Der Spiegel newspaper on Friday, November 29, with reference to the final draft of the document.
"We consider it necessary to withdraw Germany from the European Union and the creation of a new European community," the document says.
The authors of the program specify that they intend to achieve the replacement of the EU with a "group of economic interests". In addition, in their opinion, there should be a referendum on the "adaptation of the European articles of the Basic Law". To this end, the party wants to call a referendum to vote on changing a number of "European" articles in the constitution.
In particular, the party calls for abandoning the euro system in parallel with the introduction of a national currency, added "Gazeta.Ru".
It is noted that the AdG took a similar position in the federal election campaign in 2021, but later retreated.
Earlier, on November 17, Bundestag deputy Rainer Rothfuss told "Izvestia" that BRICS could become for Germany an alternative to the European Union. He noted that the BRICS model of cooperation, which preserves sovereignty for each state, is different from the EU model, and this is exactly the kind of cooperation that the AdG would like to see instead of the EU.
It is not only German politicians who have called for leaving the EU. For example, in August, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called on France to leave the EU and stop financing Ukraine.
