Zaporizhzhya region for the first time took part in the finals of "Professionals" championship

The delegation of Zaporizhzhya region this year for the first time took part in the final stage of the professional skills championship "Professionals" in St. Petersburg. This was reported on November 29 by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region Oleksandr Zinchenko.

"As guests of honor, our students took part in the regional competition. I am convinced that in 2025 we will be represented at the final stage as well," he noted at the press conference.

According to Zinchenko, this all-Russian professional platform is of great importance, as within the framework of the championship its participants can exchange experience, get qualification of the best personnel.

"Our teachers and college directors saw how it can be, how it is organized. It is not a secret that integration processes are taking place in Zaporizhzhya region. Unfortunately, the heritage that we inherited from the state of Ukraine, the material base - it does not correspond. But I am convinced that by joint efforts we will restore the material and technical base as soon as possible so that all our students could fully join the general system of secondary vocational education of the Russian Federation", - he pointed out.

Zinchenko emphasized that Zaporizhzhya region has great industrial potential. Agriculture is well developed there, as well as tourist cluster. There are more than 300 kilometers of the Azov Sea coastal strip for the development of tourist infrastructure.

"Until 2035, a federal all-Russian resort Primorsk will be created there, so I think we will be worthy participants of all championships, including in 2025," he summarized.

In turn, Alexey Ponomarenko, Deputy Director General and Director of the Engineering Competencies Unit of the ANO "Corporate Academy of Rosatom", added that Rosatom State Corporation realizes that all participants of the championship want to become the best in their fields. Therefore, they are willingly helped to reveal their potential.

"We strive to become the best in unlocking human resources potential. As Wayne Gretzky has 894 pucks in the NHL, and Rosatom already has 427 medals of various levels of all leading championships. I am sure that we will break the record of comrade Gretzky. And we will try to make sure that all leaders of technology companies, universities and colleges are under a single movement, working for the development of technological sovereignty of our country," he pointed out.

The Professionals professional skills championship started in St. Petersburg on November 26 and will be held until November 30. In 2024, its program covers 75 professional competencies, the list of competencies has been expanded to meet the needs of the real sector of the economy. Competitions on demonstration of professional skills are held in 55 competencies.
