Entrepreneur who bought a banana taped to the wall for $6.2 million ate it

Chinese collector and cryptocurrency entrepreneur Justin Sun tasted a banana he bought for $6.2 million that was taped to the wall and said it tasted much better than other bananas. This was reported by Holmes Chan of the French news agency AFP on Nov. 29 and published the video on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

"Much tastier than other bananas. Really quite good," Chan said after tasting the fruit during a special press conference in Hong Kong.

Earlier, on November 21, auction house Sotheby's reported that the art composition of Italian conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan's "Comedian", in which a banana is attached to the wall with duct tape, sold at auction for $6.2 million.

The Italian installation "Comedian" was presented in the art gallery of the American city of Miami Beach (Florida) in 2019. Then the work caused a great stir, because of which the public display of the exhibit had to be stopped for security reasons, since the guards were not able to control the crowds of visitors.
