The number of injured in Altai social center rose to 25 people


The number of injured in the social center in Altai Krai has increased to 25 people. This was reported in the regional Ministry of Health on November 29.
"At the moment in the City hospital № 5 of Barnaul continues treatment of 25 patients, of which five people are in intensive care, 20 - in the infectious disease department. All the necessary treatment is received," - stated in the message on the website of the Department.
It is noted that one person without symptoms of the disease, but contacted with the poisoned, is prevented in the infectious disease department of the City Hospital №1 Rubtsovsk.
On the same day it became known that massively ill people in the social center were diagnosed with "acute infectious gastroenterocolitis". The cause of death of guests of the social center was not poisoning, as initially assumed, but an unidentified infection. A forensic medical examination will be conducted to clarify the cause.
November 28, it was reported that in Altai Krai, three residents of a private social service center in the village of Kalistratikha, Kalmansky district, died, and several more sought medical help.
The wife of the head of the social center told Izvestia that the infection could have been brought in by one of the residents of the center.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region has opened a criminal case under part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers, which caused the death of two or more persons by negligence").
