A wolf pack was spotted in the vicinity of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Hunters took photos of the predators' footprints. Specialists are sure that the paw prints in the snow belong to wolves.

Vladimir Shablii, a freelance hunting inspector, told KamchatkaMedia news agency that four wolves roam near Mokrykh Peski, Chapaevka and Radygino. He called it an unusual phenomenon that the animals got so close to people.

According to the specialist, wolves are even more dangerous than bears. Especially to livestock on local farms. They are also dangerous for moose, which have begun to appear in the Yelizovsky district.

The main food of wolves is big game, and in Kamchatka they also eat deer. Shablii suggested that a small part of the herd of reindeer broke away from the herd and wandered off to other areas. The wolf pack followed the reindeer to places it had not been before.

Earlier, on November 19, it was reported that a young lynx walked through the streets of the village of Tselinniy, Krasnokamensk district, Transbaikal Territory. The wild animal was noticed by local residents. According to experts, young lynxes are inexperienced and sometimes come out to settlements, but such cases are isolated.
