Russian servicemen have liberated three settlements in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) over the week. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 29.

Units of the Center group liberated the settlements of Novaya Ilyinka and Vorovskoye, the village of Razdolnoye was liberated by a group of the Eastern division. It was also reported that the "West" took control of the settlement of Kopanki in Kharkiv region.

In addition, the department's report specified that a total of 34 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were captured during the week, 17 of them surrendered in the Kursk direction. The Russian Armed Forces also destroyed one Neptun missile, 10 ATACMS missiles, 15 Hammer bombs, two HIMARS missiles and 353 enemy drones.

Earlier on Friday, the Defense Ministry published footage of combat work by servicemen of the reconnaissance unit of the "North" group of troops to eliminate armored vehicles and AFU manpower in the Kursk border area. During the day, the enemy repeatedly tried to squeeze out the assault units, but small groups of the enemy were destroyed.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
