The AFU lost more than 340 soldiers on the Kursk direction over the day

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost 340 troops and six mortars in the course of military operations in Kursk Region over the course of the day. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 29.

"Over the day the losses of the AFU amounted to more than 340 servicemen. An armored personnel carrier, an armored fighting vehicle, as well as 12 vehicles, an artillery gun and six mortars were destroyed," the ministry said in a statement.

For the entire time of fighting in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian army has lost more than 36,600 troops, 223 tanks, 123 armored personnel carriers (APCs), 305 artillery pieces, 1,056 vehicles and a large number of other equipment, including foreign-made.

Earlier in the day, the ministry showed the combat work of the Russian military, which found and destroyed groups of AFU personnel in the Kursk border region, foiling an attempt to rotate them. FPV drones were used in the operation. The positions of the Ukrainians were detected by reconnaissance copters of the Test Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies of the Ministry of Defense "Rubicon".

On the same day, the Defense Ministry said that assault groups of the reconnaissance unit of the "North" group of troops on combat vehicles supported by artillery and drones eliminated the AFU's manpower and armored vehicles in the border area of the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the militants continues.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
