A checkpoint will be built in Primorye on the border with China in 2025

A new checkpoint will appear on the border with China in Primorsky Krai. It will be built in the village of Markovo in 2025. The construction is on schedule, the site was visited the day before by Nikolai Stetsko, deputy head of the regional government.
According to him, quoted by IA UssurMedia, 145 people, mostly locals, are working at the site. The checkpoint should provide inspection of cars at the border for no more than 10 minutes. The construction of a transport and logistics center near the border crossing is not excluded.
The regional agency for international cooperation expects that the opening of the new checkpoint will contribute to the deepening of economic and trade cooperation between the region and the Chinese province of Heilongjiang. With its appearance, the capacity of transportation through the state border will increase significantly.
The department emphasized that if before the checkpoint was closed for reconstruction the capacity was 40 trucks and five buses, then after the construction is completed 130 trucks and 20 buses will pass through the checkpoint per day.
In addition, the Primorsky Krai authorities are working to improve road sections on the approaches to the state border crossing points. In the coming years, the roads leading to the border crossings "Pogranichny", "Poltavka", "Kraskino", "Turiy Rog" and "Markovo" are to be reconstructed.
Earlier, on November 15, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak at the international forum "Rostki. Russia and China - mutually beneficial cooperation" said that Russia is ready to increase coal supplies to China. In addition, Novak noted the growth of trade turnover between the states.
