Traffic on a small but important section of the Kiev highway has been opened near the village of Selyatino. This was announced by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.

As the mayor noted, in the area of the 53rd kilometer of the highway "2.6 km of roads were built and reconstructed, noise screens were installed, a turning overpass was made from the center towards the Central Ring Road".

The new section of the highway will allow to increase the capacity of the highway by increasing the number of lanes. In addition, the commissioned section of the highway will unload the southwestern sector of the Central Ring Road, Sobyanin noted.

"In addition, the transportation accessibility of the village of Selyatino, the villages of Sofyino and Alabino will improve," the mayor added.

In May, Sobyanin said that in 2024 in New Moscow (TiNAO) will be built more than 35 kilometers of roads. According to the mayor, the most large-scale object is the first stage of the highway Mamyri - Penino - Sharapovo. The length of this section of the highway is more than 8 km. The new road will reduce the load on the Kaluga and Kiev highway, improve the accessibility of the settlements of Mosrentgen, Mamyri, Nikolo-Khovanskoe, Letovo and Penino.

It is also planned to complete two stages of renewal of the street and road network in the town of Troitsk, in particular, to create additional exits to the Kaluga highway. Part of the roads will also be renewed in Kommunarka, said the mayor.
