There were 306 traffic accidents in Russia over the past day

Over the past 24 hours, 306 traffic accidents occurred on Russian roads, in which 45 people were killed and 366 injured. 38 dead were passengers and drivers of vehicles. This was reported to "Izvestia" on Friday, November 29, in the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

As a result of 103 accidents, 52 of which occurred at crosswalks and 51 outside their zone of action, seven pedestrians were killed, another 98 were injured of varying severity. With participation of minors for the past day 27 road accidents were registered, as a result of which 27 young road users were injured, including 11 child passengers. Three children, all of whom were passengers of passenger vehicles, were killed through the fault of their parent-drivers.

Thus, in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra on the federal highway R-404 "Tyumen - Tobolsk - Khanty-Mansiysk" the driver of a passenger car in a prohibited place went into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a truck. As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and his 13-year-old daughter, who was in the back seat and was wearing a seat belt, were killed. Two more passengers were injured and were hospitalized.

Under similar circumstances in the Volgograd region on the federal highway R-22 "Caspian" a motorist drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a truck moving in the opposite direction. In this case, the driver and three of his passengers died in the passenger car, including two daughters of the perpetrator of the car accident, born in 2016 and 2017. At the time of the collision, both girls were in the back seat of the passenger car in child restraints and were wearing seat belts. A fourth passenger in the vehicle is hospitalized with injuries.

"On the eve of the weekend, the traffic police urges motorists not to forget that the life and health of young passengers fully depend on the skills, driving experience, well-being and law-abiding behavior on the road carrying their transportation drivers. If you have children in the car with you, refuse from risky driving style and dangerous maneuvers. Take care not only of yourself, but also of your passengers, especially children. Observe driving discipline, the established speed limit and distance between vehicles. On the eve it became known that the amendments providing for an increase in fines for traffic violations, came to the State Duma. As reported "Vedomosti", fines for violation of a number of traffic rules may increase in Russia from January 1, 2025.
