Russian Armed Forces liberate four settlements in the DNR and Kharkiv region over the week

The Russian Armed Forces have liberated four settlements over the week: three in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and one in Kharkiv Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Friday, November 29.

"The units of the grouping of troops "West" as a result of active actions liberated the settlement of Kopanki in Kharkiv region," the ministry said in a statement.

In the DNR, the settlements of Novaya Ilyinka and Vorovskoye were liberated by units of the "Center" group of troops and the village of Razdolie by units of the "East" group.

The ministry also specified that 34 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were captured during the week, 17 of them in the Kursk direction. During the seven days, air defense means (air defense) shot down: one Neptune missile, 10 ATACMS missiles, 15 Hammer bombs, two HIMARS missiles and 353 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Earlier on Friday, the Defense Ministry published footage of the combat work of servicemen of the reconnaissance unit of the "North" group of troops to eliminate armored vehicles and AFU manpower in the Kursk border area. During the day, the enemy repeatedly tried to squeeze out the assault units, but small groups of the enemy were destroyed.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
