Lavrov points to Ukraine turning into a testing ground for Western weapons

Ukraine is turning into a testing ground that the West uses to test its weapons. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this on Friday, November 29.
"Ukraine has turned into yet another testing ground - both for using and for testing sophisticated techniques of manipulating public consciousness. And Ukraine is not only a testing ground for promoting fakes, it is also a testing ground that the West uses to test the characteristics of its weapons," the minister said at a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow at the embassy roundtable.
He also cited the words of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who admitted in an interview that Western countries were fighting with the hands of Ukrainians.
Lavrov added that at the same time Washington, London and European countries continue to silence the crimes of their underlings in Ukraine.
"They are doing their best to paralyze the activity of multilateral human rights structures. And about the Russian journalists who died at the hands of Ukronazis, <...> the West does not speak at all," the Russian Foreign Minister stated.
Also at a meeting with heads of accredited diplomatic missions, the minister noted that the Kiev regime, which is under the direct control of the Anglo-Saxons and their NATO satellites, acts in line with British colonial practices.
Moscow has repeatedly pointed to Western involvement in the conflict. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov on Nov. 27 urged the administration of incumbent U.S. President Joe Biden to stop the escalation around Ukraine, pointing out that it would be difficult to end the confrontation otherwise.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Kiev amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on 24 February 2022 after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
