About 70% of Russians have become willing to pay more for eco-friendly repair products

In the Russian Federation, 68% of buyers are willing to pay more for repair and improvement products with environmental benefits, including composition, raw materials, packaging and other characteristics. This is stated in the results of the research of the company "Lemana PRO", which were read by "Izvestia" on November 29. Analysts found out that more and more consumers are thinking about the impact of their everyday actions and purchases on the environment and society.

More than a third of respondents (32%) agree to pay 5% more, 23% - 10%, and 9% - 15%.

At the same time, 23% of respondents are not willing to overpay for eco-friendly home and home improvement products. Among the main reasons they cited were high cost compared to their analogs (44%), insufficient information about their benefits (26%) and unclear terminology in product descriptions (13%). Some consumers also expressed mistrust of manufacturers' claims (15%).

Analysts specified that the study showed: environmental benefits are one of the five key priorities among shoppers when choosing products for construction, renovation and home improvement. Almost a quarter (22%) of respondents noted the importance of this criterion. Other key factors also included price, quality, technical specifications and product appearance.

In addition, 39% of respondents said that by purchasing ecological products, they are taking care of their health and nature. In addition, 17% want to support manufacturers who adhere to the principles of sustainable development, and 13% of respondents explained their choice by their responsible attitude to the environment. 10% of respondents named significant savings on housing and utility bills due to the use of goods with environmental benefits.

Earlier, November 29, it was reported that 87% of respondents in Russia are ready to spend up to Br50 thousand on "Black Friday," 4% - up to Br100 thousand, 3% - over Br100 thousand. At the same time, 6% do not plan to buy at sales at all. This follows from the results of a survey by Post Bank.
