Heavenly Grace" rhythmic gymnastics competition started at Sirius

The Heavenly Grace rhythmic gymnastics competition kicked off at the Sirius federal territory, bringing together both Russian athletes from different regions and foreign representatives.

The All-Russian competition of partner teams was personally opened by Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva. She thanked all gymnasts, judges as well as coaches.

"We had a very good idea to gather all the partners of the association here in Sirius. Thank you for coming and believing in this project!" - addressed the president of the international association of rhythmic gymnastics clubs "Heavenly Grace".

After the opening ceremony, the gymnasts did not let the Olympic champion go for a long time. The tournament was attended by representatives of Uzbekistan, Armenia, Abkhazia, as well as domestic gymnasts from a dozen regions.

"Just recently, we have completed the international tournament "Heavenly Grace Cup" in Qatar. It was held, of course, at a high level. And now we meet again in Sirius, it is a competition for partner teams. We have a lot of partners of the association," Kabaeva noted.

The Olympic champion emphasized that such large-scale tournaments are another impetus for the development of rhythmic gymnastics both in Russia and abroad.

This is the first tournament of the partner teams of Heavenly Grace. In total, more than 40 regions are represented. Competitions according to the rules of "Heavenly Grace" are more complicated, but allow to reveal the talent of a gymnast at 100%.

For example, the athlete from Makhachkala Alina Gadzhieva even changed the program under the rules of the competition, and Maria Rykova from Sochi noted that the tournament includes exercises with a jump rope.

"I have been doing rhythmic gymnastics for quite a long time, and at the time when I was a child, there was a jump rope, but then it was removed, and now back again returned," she said.

In turn, the representatives of foreign countries pointed to stricter rules, but they are the ones that allow you to show yourself from different sides.

"Chic conditions, high ceilings, good carpets, I like everything," - emphasized gymnast from Uzbekistan Samirahon Salieva.

It is noted that the tournament is so large-scale that it is held at two venues - at the Academy of Rhythmic Gymnastics "Heavenly Grace" and at the Academy of Martial Arts.

Alina Kabaeva's Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy has helped many foreign athletes, including representatives of China, Cuba, Congo, Venezuela, Philippines, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan.

On December 1, the athletes will perform demonstrative numbers. They are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The judges will be choreographers-directors Irina Zenovka, Natalia Belugina and Eldar Sayfutdinov.

In turn, the best will make it to the Alina Festival in 2025.
