"Izvestia" showed footage of medics helping residents of a social center in Altai


"Izvestia" on Friday, November 29, publishes footage of medical workers helping residents of a social center in the village of Kalistratikha in the Altai Territory.
The footage shows an ambulance crew in protective suits evacuating the victims from the center. Pensioners are carried out on gurneys and loaded into ambulances to be sent to hospitals.
As noted by the wife of the detained head of the social center Natalia Gelfenbain, the preliminary cause of the incident was rotavirus, not poisoning.
Earlier, on November 28, it was reported that in Altai Krai, three residents of a private social service center in the village of Kalistratikha Kalman district died, several more sought medical help. Later it was reported that the number of injured rose to 21 people.
The wife of the head of the social center told Izvestia that the infection could have been brought in by one of the residents of the center.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (ICS) of the Russian Federation for the region has opened a criminal case under part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers, which caused the death of two or more persons by negligence").
