Compensation payments for rental housing to the affected residents of Kursk region have started. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin on November 29.
"The government is doing a lot of work to help affected citizens in border regions. Including lump-sum financial aid, payments for the loss of property, certificates for the purchase of housing are provided," the government website quoted him as saying.
The deputy prime minister added that payments of compensation for rent have also started. The federal budget has allocated over Br1 billion for these purposes.
More than 4.5 thousand applications have been submitted for the payment so far. 650 of them have already been approved. Acceptance of applications and their consideration continue, continued Khusnullin.
In turn, the governor of Kursk region Alexei Smirnov expressed confidence that thanks to the attention and support of the federal center, all the tasks and challenges facing the government will be solved.
"Support can be used by residents of border areas who rent housing both in the Kursk region and outside it. For large families it is 40 thousand rubles, for the rest - 20 thousand rubles. We will continue to support our citizens in a difficult life situation," - explained the head of the region.
Earlier, November 15, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Cabinet would allocate Br4 billion to support the residents of Kursk region, who had lost their property. He also added that over 1 billion rubles will be allocated to reimburse the expenses of those who have to rent housing.
