"The prosecutor's office of the Zaporozhye region approved the indictment in the criminal case against Ukrainian citizens Igor Garanin and Sergey Yevtushenko, as well as citizens of the Russian Federation Elena Roy and Sergey Garkusha. <...> The accused in February 2022 joined a terrorist community led by the special services of Ukraine. On the instructions of the curators they followed the employees of the Military-civil administration and heads of law enforcement departments of Melitopol", - stated in the message.
It is noted that in November 2022 and April 2023, the members of the group committed terrorist acts by installing improvised explosive devices near the houses of the victims. As a result, the head of the Department of communal property, urban development, property and land relations of the Military-civil administration of Melitopol was injured, and the Deputy of the Department of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia "Melitopol" died.
The accomplices were detained in May 2023 during the attempted assassination of the deputy chief of police for operational work of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Zaporizhzhya region.
In total, a number of criminal cases have been initiated against the attackers, including preparation for a terrorist act and commission of a terrorist act, illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation and carrying of explosives and explosive devices and participation in a terrorist community.
Earlier, on November 18, Rosfinmonitoring added to the list of terrorists and extremists three foreign mercenaries who took part in the fighting on the side of the AFU in the special operation zone.
