New textbooks for learning the Koryak language were delivered to schools in Kamchatka

New textbooks for the study of the Koryak language, which were published at the expense of the regional budget, have been delivered to schools in Kamchatka. This is reported on the website of the regional government on November 29.

"Kamchatka received textbooks for students of general educational organizations "Native (Koryak) language. Grade 8" and "Native (Koryak) language. Grade 9", - informed the press service of the department.

It is specified that since 2016 the development of teaching aids for students in accordance with the federal state educational standards is underway.

"Teaching of native languages is carried out by textbooks for students, published in the St. Petersburg branch of the publishing house "Prosveshchestvo", which has accumulated extensive experience in publishing manuals for indigenous peoples of the North and employs specialists who actively help to implement our proposals", - said the head of the Department of native languages, culture and life of indigenous peoples of the Kamchatka Institute of Education Development Alexander Volkov.

Earlier, on June 7, 2023, a publication for the school program for the study of the Koryak language was published in the Kamchatka region. The publication is recommended for teachers and instructors of the Koryak language, teachers of additional education. It will be useful for specialists in the native languages of the indigenous peoples of the North.
