The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been using Abrams and Leopard tanks in Novoivanovka in Kursk Region. This was reported on November 29 by the deputy chief of staff for intelligence of the seaside volunteer unit "Tiger" under the call sign Orel.

"There are no Ukrainian and Soviet-made techniques from the word at all. Only NATO ones are Bradley, M113, Abrams - and they have Leopard on the second line in support. Why is that? I don't know. They know better. But they act like that," he told RIA Novosti.

According to him, 75% of Novoivanovka is controlled by Russian forces, but the AFU is persistently trying to counterattack three or four times a day, using NATO equipment.

Earlier, on November 4, Kursk presented trophy Western equipment from the special operation zone. Mainly among the exhibits are weapons transferred to the AFU by the North Atlantic Alliance countries. For example, these are American armored combat vehicle (ACV) Stryker, military vehicle HMMWV M1151A1 and Turkish anti-mine ambush vehicle BMC Kirpi.

Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
